Elliptical Workouts
The body needs to do a lot of work on an elliptical machine. Elliptical workouts are a true
low-impact, high-energy type of workout. The weight bearing exercise is good for all ages, especially aged person,
since it burns calories more efficiently without stressing any part of your body and at the same time helps build
bone density. This fact makes the machines much more useful especially for people that are s still recovering from
an injury.
Being in gyms first, treadmills remained to be the most popular workout equipment to be used. But for a new
person freshly introduced to the gym, elliptical machines and elliptical workouts gain in popularity. It simply
simulates the human feet’s normal motion. Elliptical machine uses all of the muscles in the legs, which lead the
entire lower body to work. To that you add upper body motion like moving the dual handlebars back and forth, the
bonus is then on. This combination keeps the rate of the heart up hence giving a great cardiovascular exercise and
so it is optimize for your body’s energy expense.
If burning a lot of calories by elliptical workouts is what you want to achieve. Then you have to follow some
easy steps for that to happen. Here are some for you to follow in order to burn a lot of calories:
1) Raise Incline - raise the incline as high as you can if you want to burn the
more calories and take out the fats that you might not need in your body. You need to give a higher incline, for
you to get into a tougher workout and more calories burned. Only available in high end machines.
2) Raise Intensity Level - To increase the calorie that would be burned and the fat
that will be loss, you need to set the elliptical machine intensity into a higher level that would be enough to
make you work harder. Don't waste your time going through a slow and easy workout; tune up the intensity of the
machine and get that heart rate pump faster than ever before. The more you sweat in your workouts means the more
calories you are burning and a high metabolic boost. Most of the machines have a pre programmed elliptical workout
optimized for that.
3) Do Intervals – for you to be able to burn more calories and fat in a short
period of time, you will need some interval training into your next elliptical workout. If you go fast and hard for
20-35 seconds, back off and rest for 20-35 seconds, also and again and doing it 6-10 times of your workout time,
you will surely increase the calorie that you are burning and the fat that you will be losing.
4) Don't Hold the Bars and Rails - holding the elliptical machines handrails and/or
bars decreases the exercising intensity, which on the other hand reduces the possible calories that will be burned
supposedly. In order for you to burn the most calories during the next elliptical machine workout, all you need to
do is to stand up straight, and keep your hands out of the rails of the machines, and let your legs be the one to
shoulder all the weight of your body. By doing this you are increasing the calorie that your body is burning.
5) Use Manual Control – By the use of the manual control on the elliptical machine,
it give you much control and over your elliptical workout, this will then allow you to burn the most of your body’s
calories. This allows you to adjust the intensity level.
